UniSystems sees opportunities worth nearly 400 million euros following the expiration of the Recovery Fund, as revealed by the company’s CEO, Yannis Loumakis (photo), during today’s press conference to present the 2025 financial figures.
According to him, the pool of approximately 400 million euros stems from projects that have already been announced, such as the major ID card project, which is being relaunched. Additionally, the Superfund is managing numerous projects, including defense-related initiatives and those under the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF).
For his part, Theodoros Fessas, founder and major shareholder of Quest Holdings, stated that UniSystems has had a successful track record, demonstrating the resilience of its business model. Furthermore, at least at this stage, he ruled out the possibility of listing the group’s subsidiaries on the Athens Stock Exchange, on the grounds that such a move would cause confusion among investors.
Financial figures for 2025
On the other hand, regarding UniSystems’ financial performance, Mr. Loumakis noted that last year was one of the best in the company’s history. More specifically, the company, which currently operates in over 25 countries and serves more than 300 clients, reported revenue of €268 million (+11%) and EBITDA of €28.5 million (+22% YoY). The EBITDA margin stood at 11.2%, while the 2021–2025 revenue CAGR is 15%. It is worth noting that the backlog of projects for the 2026–2030 period amounts to €671 million.
The international markets segment continues to hold the largest share with €125 million, accounting for a total of 48% of turnover, confirming Uni Systems’ outward-looking orientation, followed by the financial and banking sectors, the public and private sectors.
At the same time, revenue from the company’s digital solutions reached €83 million, marking a 16% increase, as a result of targeted investment in the company’s core digital pillars: Artificial Intelligence & Data, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Managed Services, and Customer Experience.
Furthermore, UniSystems’ CEO also discussed the company’s AI-first strategic direction, presenting Synthesis AI, the integrated digital transformation model that incorporates Artificial Intelligence into all of its solutions and services, with a human-centric approach.
Synthesis AI is a unified operating framework that connects Artificial Intelligence with the broader operational and technological transformation of organizations, embodying the AI-first strategy both in the company’s internal operations—where it has been in place for a year—and in the solutions it offers to the market.
UniSystems employs more than 1,800 people representing over 45 nationalities, and in 2025, it hired 344 new employees. Particular emphasis is placed on continuous education, with over 25,500 hours of training and a focus on digital and AI skills.
A separate chapter is the Research, Development, and Innovation sector, which, in collaboration with the Pleiades Innovation Ecosystem, manages the Memoranda of Cooperation with the municipalities of Kalamata, Halki, Paleo Faliro, and Kos, which were signed the previous year and are now being implemented through a series of actions. At the same time, 2025 concluded with the approval of 7 new proposals under European research programs, bringing Uni Systems’ total participation to 76 approved proposals.
Outlook for 2026 and plans for the future
Regarding forecasts for 2026, Mr. Loumakis estimated that it will be a very good year and will likely be a repeat of 2025, provided there are no disruptive developments at the geopolitical level.
Finally, regarding UniSystems’ future plans, Mr. Loumakis emphasized the further strengthening of the company’s international presence, beyond EU organizations, as well as its expansion into the defense industry sector, in the context of geopolitical developments and European initiatives, through the implementation of projects that incorporate its AI-first strategy. He noted, moreover, that self-sufficiency in technological solutions also determines geopolitical stability and power.
