The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas, and Deputy Minister Konstantinos Kyranakis held a working meeting today with the Spanish Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility , Oscar Puente, who visited Athens ahead of the Informal Transport Council under the Cypriot Presidency.
According to a relevant announcement by the ministry, the ministers agreed on close coordination and cooperation with the aim of:
1) the mutual promotion of investments by Greek and Spanish companies in both countries,
2) to strengthen European funding for countries in the EU’s periphery, within the framework of the ongoing negotiations on the EU’s new Multiannual Financial Framework,
3) boosting the competitiveness of the European economy by promoting innovation and simplifying procedures at the European level,
4) the exchange of know-how in the field of air navigation infrastructure upgrades, as part of efforts to strengthen the Union’s technological autonomy.
