The EFA GROUP announces the completion of a strategically significant investment through the acquisition of a 90% majority stake in Superior Air, marking the group’s dynamic entry into the sectors of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), training, and the provision of specialized aviation services for helicopters and airplanes.
As noted in the relevant announcement, Superior Air provides comprehensive General Aviation services in Greece and internationally. It is an authorized maintenance, repair, and overhaul center for helicopters and airplanes. It holds international and domestic certifications required to perform major technical work, as well as the complete overhaul of specific types of helicopters and airplanes.
In addition, the company provides maintenance and airworthiness management services for a wide range of helicopters and airplanes.
At the same time, Superior Air is actively involved in pilot training, covering a wide range of the sector, from initial to the most advanced training. Its many years of experience in conducting flights is a key driver of growth for specialized services.
The EFA GROUP’s strategic investment in Superior Air significantly strengthens the group’s operational footprint, particularly in the areas of technical support and upgrading of military aircraft, while also creating enhanced capabilities in the civilian sector.
This investment will enable the EFA GROUP to undertake and implement complex support projects, aircraft upgrades, as well as provide training services in the Defense and Security sector by combining the group’s existing solutions and products with those offered by Superior Air.
Its operational presence spans five strategic bases: in Megara (Megara Airport), in Koropi (helicopter port), Mykonos (helicopter port), Santorini (helicopter port), and Sparta (Sparta Airport), ensuring broad geographic coverage and a high level of operational readiness nationwide.
