New Democracy maintains a clear lead New Democracy in the voting estimates, according to the new nationwide poll by Opinion Poll for Action24, with the political landscape characterized by a fragmented opposition and high percentages for the “other” category.Voting intention: Double-digit lead for New Democracy
In voting intentions extrapolated from valid votes, New Democracy garners 31.2%, maintaining a clear lead over the other parties. PASOK follows in second place with 14.4%, while the Greek Solution comes in third with 9.4%.
The KKE stands at 7.8%, while the Freedom Course garners 8.2%, confirming its presence in the opposition. SYRIZA slips to 4.3%, reflecting its continued inability to recover.
Among the smaller parties, Niki is at 1.7%, while the “other” category is significant at 12.6%, indicating high volatility and a dispersion of the vote outside the major political formations.

This picture reflects, on the one hand, the resilience of the ruling party and, on the other, the difficulty of forming a unified opposition bloc.
Cost of living is the dominant issue
The survey highlights inflation and rising costs as citizens’ primary concerns, accounting for 52.2% of spontaneous responses (up to three choices), followed by the economy/growth (30.7%) and corruption (18.1%).
The percentage of those expressing concern about a new wave of inflation due to international developments is particularly high, with 92.3% answering “very much or somewhat” (see relevant survey graph).
Negative assessment of economic measures
Regarding the government’s economic measures, citizens appear to be cautious to negative:
- 35.8% believe they “have no real value”
- 27.0% believe they “fall short of needs”
- 26.7% believe they “are positive but insufficient”
Only 9.1% consider the measures to be sufficiently positive.
Political climate: Demand for stability but also intense protest
78.2% of respondents believe that geostrategic turmoil requires political stability, while 34.9% state they would vote based on a desire to protest, compared to 50.7% who choose stability.
When asked about the timing of the elections, 39.3% favor spring 2027, while 28.4% call for immediate elections.
Suitability for Prime Minister
Regarding suitability for the prime minister’s office, Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads with 28.9%, while “none” records a high percentage of 23.4%, confirming the crisis of representation. Alexis Tsipras follows with 9.9%, and the remaining political leaders receive lower percentages.
