The American Airlines has launched a new route from Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (ATH) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The new route to DFW will strengthen the airline’s presence in Athens, which this summer will include up to 35 weekly flights during the peak season to five hubs in the U.S., with daily connections to Charlotte (CLT), Philadelphia (PHL), Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK), and DFW.
The route will operate through September 8, 2026, using Boeing 777-300 aircraft, with a capacity of 304 passengers, and Boeing 777-200 aircraft, with a capacity of 273 passengers.

With this new route, the company will increase its flights to Athens by 25% and available seat capacity by 30%, compared to the summer of 2025.
