Bally’s Intralot S.A. announces the signing of a new contract with Hellenic Lotteries S.A., a member of the Allwyn Hellas Group (formerly OPAP), for the implementation of its cutting-edge lottery technology solutions.
Following an international tender, Hellenic Lotteries S.A. was recently awarded the exclusive right to operate and manage Greece’s state lotteries (passive lotteries and instant games) for a period of 12 years, beginning on May 2, 2026. It should be noted that the company also held the previous license for state lotteries for a 12-year period.
The contract awarded to Bally’s Intralot concerns the seamless transition of the existing Hellenic Lotteries lottery system, which already operates using Bally’s Intralot technology, to its latest technological platform. Specifically, Bally’s Intralot will implement a comprehensive lottery and instant games management solution based on the leading LotosX Omni ecosystem.
Bally’s Intralot will continue to support Hellenic Lotteries in distributing games through its extensive retail network, while also providing digital connectivity capabilities. The contract covers an initial base period of one year, with the option of either annual extensions for up to three years or continuation for the entire duration of the Concession.
Jan Karas, Chairman and CEO of Allwyn Hellas, stated: “We are particularly pleased with our collaboration with Bally’s Intralot in this new era for the Hellenic Lottery. Ensuring business continuity, renewing and evolving our products, and enhancing the customer experience are key pillars of our plans for the new 12-year concession. We look forward to continuing to work with Bally’s Intralot on technological solutions that will help us meet customer expectations, offer innovative offerings, and strengthen our business operations, while improving our efficiency, productivity, and responsible operations.”
“Allwyn Hellas and Hellenic Lotteries have been long-standing and valuable partners of ours, and we are honored to renew and strengthen our collaboration,” said Robeson Reeves, CEO of Bally’s Intralot Group. “This agreement reflects the trust placed in both our technology and our people, reaffirming our long-term commitment to supporting lotteries operating in regulated markets. In close collaboration with Hellenic Lotteries, we aim to create a modern, secure, and scalable gaming ecosystem that will foster sustainable growth and innovation.”
