Dikaiosinis Square on Panepistimiou Street, between Arsaki and Santarosa Streets, has been given a facelift. The City of Athens carried out restoration work, repaired damage, cleaned the square’s facilities, and planted new trees.
According to the relevant press release, the project was implemented as part of the “Visa for Athens” program , a collaboration between the City of Athens and Visa.
The Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, stated: “Dikaiosinis Square, a landmark in the city center, is once again becoming a part of daily life in Athens. For decades, it was associated with public life, democratic expression, and the city’s daily rhythm.
However, for years it remained a forgotten space. With Visa’s valuable support, we proceeded with the substantial restoration of the square, proving that partnerships with a social impact can restore value to the city itself.”
