Maria Karistianou is heading to the Supreme Court today, Tuesday, to submit the file containing the founding declaration of the “Hope for Democracy” party.
She will submit the founding declaration to the Supreme Court Prosecutor’s Office along with the signatures of citizens who support her political initiative, so that the party may acquire official party status.
Along with the party’s bylaws, Maria Karistianou is expected to submit the party’s emblem, as required by relevant legislation.
It should be noted that the official announcement of the political movement took place last Thursday in Thessaloniki, while the submission of the party’s charter had initially been scheduled for earlier but was postponed following the party’s presentation.
To establish a party, at least 200 signatures from eligible voters are required, the submission of the founding declaration by either the President or the Executive Committee of the political movement to the party’s bylaws, and the notification of the headquarters, name, and emblem of the party being established.
