Both initiatives provide financial information, knowledge, and skills with the common goal of empowering citizens to make more informed financial decisions and strengthening confidence in the financial system and the economy as a whole.
The name Weconomy
The name “weconomy” was created to express, in a modern and human way, the philosophy behind the Bank of Greece’s new initiative on financial education: At “weconomy.gr,” economics becomes simple, understandable, and interesting for everyone.
Centered on “we,” it highlights the importance of community, family, and collective effort in strengthening financial literacy and responsibility.
The platform’s visual identity utilizes the shape of the letter“W,”combining it with modern graphic elements that evoke knowledge, technology, and information, reflecting the platform’s contemporary, educational, and digital nature of the platform.
With bright and friendly colors, “weconomy” was designed to convey accessibility, familiarity, and a positive learning experience for everyone, while the word “weconomy” itself is easily understood by both Greek and international audiences.
