Auditors from the Independent Authority for Public Revenue conducted sweeping and highly targeted inspections of restaurants and cafes along the Athenian Riviera, in areas with heavy foot traffic and a high concentration of such establishments.
As stated in a press release, special teams from the IAPR conducted a total of 102 inspections at restaurants, cafes, bars, and recreational venues.
From the inspections:
*Violations were found at 27 businesses
*A total of 110 violations were confirmed
*The fines amount to 84,000 euros.
At the same time, a 48-hour suspension of operations was imposed on three businesses in Palaio Faliro, Alimos, and Glyfada due to serious violations of tax laws.
The audits focused primarily on:
*The issuance of retail receipts,
*The proper functioning of tax mechanisms,
*The transmission of transactions
