The 45 Greek companies that participated in the national pavilion organized by Enterprise Greece at the PLMA 2026 International Private Label Products Exhibition, held from May 19-20 May in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
According to the relevant announcement, the Greek national pavilion, covering an area of 612 square meters, hosted dynamic export companies—mainly from the Food and Beverage sector—with products of exceptional quality and high nutritional value, which they had the opportunity to present to major international companies through targeted B2B meetings.
PLMA, which this year marks its 40th anniversary as the world’s leading gathering for the private label industry, attracted more than 32,000 trade visitors and buyers from Europe’s and the world’s largest retail chains, such as Carrefour, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, Rewe, Ahold Delhaize, Edeka, Migros, Colruyt, Jumbo, and Albert Heijn. Over the two days of the exhibition, representatives of the international retail sector had the opportunity to network with 3,300 exhibitors from 70 countries.
It is worth noting that the private label category is emerging as a strategic pillar for Greece’s trade balance. Key domestic production sectors, such as peach canning, contribute hundreds of millions of euros from their global exports, while supporting thousands of jobs in manufacturing and the primary agricultural sector.
The Greek Ambassador to The Hague, Ms. Katerina Gini, honored the national participation with her presence, conversing with the Greek exhibitors and emphasizing the importance of diplomatic support for entrepreneurship.
On the occasion of the exhibition’s conclusion, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, issued the following statement: “The private label market is growing rapidly worldwide, opening up major commercial avenues for the iconic products of the Greek land, such as olive oil, olives, feta cheese, and processed fruits.
Enterprise Greece has consistently supported national participation in the PLMA for the past 20 years. The continuous growth in the number of our exhibitors reflects the all-time high in Greek food and beverage exports. For this reason, we are moving forward with vigor, strengthening the international outlook of Greek businesses and their penetration into the world’s largest retail chains.”
