The Independent Authority for Market Control and Consumer Protection, following the completion of an inspection of a company operating in key categories of consumer products, imposed a significant administrative fine for exceeding the permitted gross profit margin.
Specifically, a fine of 2,992,987 euros was imposed on NESTLE HELLAS S.A. for exceeding the permitted gross profit margin on 48 product codes in the categories of coffee, chocolate, infant formula, and baby food.
The identified violation pertains to the period from March 13, 2026, to April 3,2026 and is part of the Authority’s 2026 inspections regarding compliance with the maximum permitted gross profit margin, pursuant to the Legislative Act of March 11, 2026 (A’ 37).
This decision is part of the systematic processing of ongoing audit files. The examination of the remaining cases is proceeding at an intensive pace, and new audits are expected to be completed in the near future.
