Aegean announced the launch of the new cycle of the “Aircraft Engineering Education Scholarship Program” Aegean, continuing to invest in the future of civil aviation. The program is aimed at young men and women who wish to acquire specialized knowledge and skills in the civil aviation sector, paving the way for a successful professional career as aircraft engineers.
This initiative is part of AEGEAN’s systematic effort to support the younger generation while strengthening the industry’s professions in Greece through high-quality education and practical training programs, according to the relevant announcement. This specific program has been in place since 2022 for aircraft engineers and offers 20 candidates the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge through a comprehensive 24-month training program.
The training is conducted in collaboration with Olympic Air’s internationally recognized engineering school (Olympic Air Maintenance Training Organization) and includes both theoretical courses and practical training at the modern facilities of AEGEAN’s new technical base. Upon completion of the program, participants receive a Category B1.1 professional license (Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License). The program covers 50% of tuition costs and rewards the top three graduates with a full or partial refund of the amount (100%, 75%, and 50% respectively), based on their academic performance.
Upon completion of their studies, graduates will have the opportunity to continue their professional careers, as they join the AEGEAN team and begin their careers at the country’s leading airline and in an industry with significant growth prospects both in Greece and internationally, the announcement emphasizes.
