The Armed Forces welcomed the first female volunteer recruits in the history of the Hellenic Republic to the Lamia Military Training Center yesterday, Thursday; these women have chosen to serve their country.
“Their enlistment is a major step toward the equal representation of women in the Citizens’ Army,” emphasized Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias in a post on social media.
“We wish them a successful service and every success in their new journey. Their choice is an act of responsibility, dedication, and trust in their homeland and its institutions,” he added.
“The Armed Forces become even stronger when they represent the entirety of Greek society,” the Minister concluded.
