Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis held a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
The two ministers discussed Greek-Qatari relations and the crisis in the broader Middle East region, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic mediation efforts as an essential means for achieving sustainable peace in the region, according to a related post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X.
“They also discussed issues such as freedom of navigation, maritime security, and the safety of seafarers and ships in the Gulf,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
