In a post on the X platform, Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias announced today, Monday, that he had informed his European counterparts about the Turkish harassment of a Republic of Cyprus aircraft during the informal meeting of European Union defense ministersin Cyprus.
Specifically, he stated that “following a relevant report from my Cypriot counterpart Vasilis Palmas, I briefed them on the Turkish harassment by an aircraft originating from the occupied territories of the Republic of Cyprus.”
As he noted, the Summit discussed developments in Ukraine, maritime security, freedom of navigation, and issues related to the European security strategy, while also emphasizing the need to strengthen the European defense industry.
