Skroutz Plus, the subscription service of the popular marketplace, is celebrating its fifth anniversary, having achieved significant growth both in its subscriber base and in its contribution to e-commerce.
As noted in the relevant announcement, to mark its fifth anniversary, Skroutz is launching the “Don’t Worry, 5 Years of Skroutz Plus," offering exclusive discounts, interest-free installments, and up to 20% cashback in Coins for service members on June 9 and 10. At the same time, new users signing up for an annual subscription for the first time can secure it for 15 euros for one year, receiving an additional 15-euro coupon for their next purchase.
Skroutz Plus now has 260,000 active members, marking a 21% increase compared to the 215,000 members from the previous year. At the same time, the average shopping cart value for subscribers has increased by 12% from 2021 to May 2026, reflecting consistent use of the service.
The most popular product categories among subscribers include specific dietary supplements, face creams, shampoos, baby diapers, and sunscreen. The use of Skroutz Point pickup locations has also increased significantly, as 63% of users now choose this delivery method.
Geographically, most orders come from the prefectures of Attica and Thessaloniki, while strong activity is also recorded in the Cyclades, Heraklion, the Dodecanese, Achaea, Chania, Larissa, and Magnesia. The prefectures of Corinthia, Boeotia, Phocis, Larissa, and Arta recorded the largest increase in new subscribers outside of Attica and Thessaloniki.
Skroutz Plus also makes a significant contribution to partner stores, as 44% of Skroutz Marketplace’s total revenue comes from subscribers to the service. Furthermore, Plus users show higher rates of repeat purchases from the same store, strengthening consumer loyalty toward the platform’s merchants.
This trend is most pronounced in categories such as pet supplies, cosmetics, and health and beauty products, where repeat purchase rates are particularly high, the announcement concludes.
