DEH Mini Parks: Modern Urban Green Spaces
DEH Mini Parks are modern recreational and green spaces that offer a unique experience for visitors of all ages, contributing locally to lowering temperatures and improving residents’ quality of life.
DEI has undertaken the design, construction, and maintenance of the 23 DEI Mini Parks throughout the country, which were implemented at locations selected in collaboration with local municipalities. With an average area of 300 square meters, the spaces were designed based on the specific characteristics of each area, so that they integrate functionally and aesthetically into the urban environment.
The 23 DEH Mini Parks feature new urban furniture, a modern irrigation system, and upgraded infrastructure that enhances functionality and visitor safety. Specifically, they include wooden benches, solar-powered benches with USB ports, lighting, water fountains, as well as special amenities such as birdhouses and animal watering stations, a book exchange area, and a children’s activity area, creating a welcoming and pleasant environment for people of all ages.
A key element of the DEH Mini Parks is the planting of a variety of trees, shrubs, ornamental plants, and climbing plants that create small green oases within the city, enhance biodiversity, and help lower temperatures. At the same time, the modern irrigation system ensures the proper maintenance and resilience of the plantings throughout the year.
With a focus on sustainable development and support for local communities, PPC is implementing initiatives that enhance public spaces and contribute to improving the quality of life for residents, the announcement concludes.
