The Competition Commission, sitting in a Chamber, by its decision No. 915/2026 dated June 9, 2026, unanimously approved, pursuant to Article 8(3) of Law 3959/2011, the concentration involving the acquisition of sole control by the company named “ORPHEUS VEINOGLOU-STREAM GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS S.A.” (trading as “OB STREEM SA”), a subsidiary of the investment group H.I.G. Capital LLC, over the company “G. POULIAS-S. BRAKATSELOS S.A. CONTRACTING, MOVING, AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION -IMPORTS-EXPORTS OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS" (trading name "MED FRIGO SA"), within the meaning of Article 5(2)(b) of Law 3959/2011.
The concentration concerns the relevant markets in which there are horizontal overlaps between the participating undertakings, specifically the market for the provision of logistics services and the market for the provision of freight forwarding services. The latter is further distinguished into the submarkets for ambient temperature freight forwarding and temperature-controlled freight forwarding.
The Competition Commission, taking into account the small market shares of the participating companies in the relevant markets, concluded that, despite the fact that the transaction falls within the scope of Article 6(1) of Law 3959/2011, it does not alter the conditions of competition. Consequently, the concentration under review does not raise serious doubts as to its compatibility with the requirements of effective competition in the relevant markets in which the participating undertakings operate.
