A working meeting was held this morning between Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos and the Hellenic Supermarket Association. Yesterday, Mr. Theodorikakos also held a working meeting with the Hellenic Food Industry Association.
The focus was on the Ministry of Development’s initiative to reach a national agreement on reducing prices for basic necessities, according to ministry sources
According to the same sources, there is a positive atmosphere for implementing the agreement to reduce prices on basic goods. However, this requires serious preparatory work by all parties involved, especially the Supermarket Association and the Food Industry, so that the reductions apply to key product categories.
Until this happens, the price cap measure will remain in effect.
