“Once again, the Minister of National Defense chose not to appear before Parliament to defend his proposals regarding the procurement of defense equipment,” the PASOK lawmaker charges.
“He chooses to speak at various forums instead of answering to Parliament. Except that today, Dendias’ proposals concerned programs worth 1.158 billion euros, all through direct awards, without adequate documentation, and without procedures that meet the necessary transparency safeguards.
PASOK supports the Armed Forces and the country’s National Defense. However, it does not give a blank check to the government’s opaque practices.”
