A new era of legal certainty and digital management began on Thursday, June 11, 2026, for 141,266 properties in the Regional Units of Western Attica and the Islands of the Attica Region, with their inclusion in the fully operational Land Registry system. These include the municipalities of Mandra–Eidyllia in the Regional Unit of Western Attica and the municipalities of Agistri, Kythira, Poros, Spetses, Troizinia, and Hydra in the Regional Unit of the Islands.
As noted in the relevant announcement, with the inclusion of these final areas, 141,266 properties and 170,646 rights are now incorporated into the Land Registry system, marking the full digitization of its services. The elimination of traditional paper-based procedures establishes a modern framework of speed and legal certainty, which facilitates the immediate service of citizens and professionals.
From now on, citizens and professionals in the Regional Units of Western Attica and the Attica Islands have at their disposal a powerful digital tool that saves time, reduces bureaucracy, and enhances transaction security. All procedures are now carried out quickly, reliably, and digitally, strengthening citizens’ trust in the state.
At the same time, the definitive recording of legal and spatial information for all properties establishes clear rules for land development and management, laying the groundwork for spatial planning and future investments in the region.
The Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, Christos Dermentzopoulos, stated: “As of today, residents and professionals in Western Attica and the islands of the Attica Region have access to a complete Land Registry. Every transaction can now be conducted easily and digitally, with full legal security and certainty.
We are just a breath away from the full completion of this project, a project that has been pending for decades. Our goal is for every citizen to not only have a complete picture of all the details of their real estate holdings, but also to conduct transactions without the delays and hassles of the past.”
