As part of the Ministry of the Interior’s coordinated efforts to upgrade Citizen Service Centers (KEPs) nationwide, the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Vasilis Spanakis, signed two new decisions to create a total of seven (7) positions in the Citizen Services Division at the KEPs of the municipalities of Mytilene (6 positions) and Limni Plastira (1 position).
According to the relevant announcement, the salaries of the employees who will fill these seven positions will be covered by the budgets of the Municipalities of Mytilene and Limni Plastira, which, in turn, through these additional positions, will meet the increased needs for handling citizen affairs, residents, and visitors.
Deputy Minister of the Interior Vasilis Spanakis emphasized that: “The creation of new staff positions at the KEPs of the Municipalities of Mytilene and Limni Plastira, following the provision of another nine (9) positions at the KEPs of the Municipalities of Marathon, Naxos & Small Cyclades, and Malevizi—a total of 16 new staff positions—will improve the level of service provision, particularly for the elderly, individuals without internet access, and people with disabilities. The increase in staff will also facilitate the extension of KEP operating hours.
The Ministry of the Interior provides substantial support to local governments and fulfills every request they submit that aims to improve the daily lives of citizens, residents, and visitors, reducing bureaucracy, and ultimately ensuring the efficient handling of matters.”
