Safilo Hellas, the Greek subsidiary of the Italian Safilo Group—one of the largest players in the eyewear industry—reported an increase in revenue but lower profitability last year.
According to its financial statements, sales for the company—which employs 19 people—rose to 7.461 million euros from 7.288 million euros in 2024, marking a 2.4% increase. Despite this slight improvement in revenue, net profits fell to 183,542 euros from 260,755 euros.
The company, which operates in the wholesale distribution of sunglasses and prescription eyewear in the Greek market, reported a gross profit of 2.83 million euros, up from 2.67 million euros in 2024, while the gross profit margin improved to 37.9% from 36.6%. During the fiscal year, the company distributed a dividend of 390,000 euros to its sole shareholder, the Safilo Group.
Management is cautiously optimistic about 2026. As it notes, the goal is to further strengthen market share and maintain profitability by leveraging the company’s position in the Greek eyewear market.
