The Chief of the General Staff of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rodolphe Haykal, is paying an official visit to Greece from Monday, June 15, through Wednesday, June 17, at the invitation of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis.
Today, General Haykal laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and was subsequently received by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff at the “Papagos” Military Base.
Following the official reception, a meeting took place between the two chiefs, during which they discussed issues of strategic importance, current geopolitical developments at the regional and international levels, as well as ways to further strengthen ties and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
This was followed by a briefing on defense policy issues and the activities of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff.
