The new production facility of Northern Greece Ceramics (KEVE) in Mihajlovac, Serbia, marking a decisive step in the company’s international growth strategy and further strengthening its presence in the Balkan market. This facility is located in a strategically important area, just 70 kilometers from Belgrade and on the main highway connecting Serbia with its neighboring countries.
The investment, totaling 16.5 million euros, was completed in accordance with the previously announced modernization plan, adopting the same best practices and specifications that KEVE applies at its facilities in Nea Santa, Kilkis.
The facility, with a total area of 117,000 square meters and 13,000 square meters of building space, is commencing operations with a production capacity of 600 metric tons of bricks per day, with plans to increase this to 1,000 metric tons per day by 2027.
The launch of the plant not only aims to increase market share in Serbia—where, until recently, products from this facility held a market share of around 6%— but also strengthens the broader Balkan market by offering modern, energy-efficient, high-quality building solutions and contributing to local economic development and job creation.
With a 90-year history in the ceramic tile industry, KEVE is steadily evolving from a family-owned Greek company into a regional player with an expanded international footprint. The operation of the new facility in Serbia further strengthens its export momentum and creates synergies that enhance its operational flexibility and competitiveness.
