The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces the provisional monthly occupancy figures for hotel-type accommodations, campgrounds, and short-stay collective accommodations (rooms for rent) for the reference month of April 2026.
According to the survey data, in April 2026, arrivals at tourist accommodations totaled 2,239,150 and overnight stays totaled 6,918,432, marking a decrease compared to the same month in 2025, by 0.8% in arrivals and 1.3% in overnight stays.
Specifically, in April 2026 compared to the same month in 2025, there was a 0.5% decrease in foreign arrivals and a 1.4% decrease in overnight stays by foreign visitors. Similarly, for Greek nationals, there was a decrease in arrivals and overnight stays of 1.2% and 0.9%, respectively.
Foreign visitors accounted for the largest share of arrivals and overnight stays, at 65.0% and 73.6%, respectively, across all types of accommodations. The average total length of stay for the month of April 2026 was 3.1 days.
