Greece made an outstanding showing as it participated for the third consecutive year in the GreenTech 2026 international exhibition, which took place from June 9 to 11, 2026, at the RAI Amsterdam exhibition center in the Netherlands. Enterprise Greece organized the Greek delegation, highlighting the capabilities and innovative solutions of Greek companies in the rapidly growing agritech sector, according to the relevant announcement.
GreenTech is one of the most important international events for professionals in greenhouse technology, smart agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, and plant technology. Every year, the exhibition brings together leading companies, research institutions, producers, nursery owners, and specialized consultants from around the world, showcasing the most cutting-edge technologies, products, and services that are shaping the future of primary production.
The central theme of this year’s event was “PURE,” focusing on the sustainable development of agriculture and the adoption of practices that contribute to a more efficient use of natural resources. The exhibition’s thematic sections highlighted the importance of water and energy conservation, the use of advanced technologies and data, the reduction of chemical use, and the strengthening of cooperation throughout the agri-food chain.
The Greek delegation showcased the significant expertise and competitiveness of Greek companies, which presented innovative, internationally oriented solutions and products. The following companies participated in the exhibition: THRACE GROUP, ORGANIC ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGIES P.C., PLASTIKA KRITIS S.A., THERMOMETAL, INA PLASTICS, AGROSTEEL L.P., and EUROTRAP LTD.
The Greek exhibitors’ booths featured the industry’s international brand “Greece Agricultural Equipment | From Seed to Harvest,” an initiative aimed at enhancing the visibility of the Greek agricultural technology ecosystem and promoting the quality, innovation, and expertise of Greek companies in international markets.
During the exhibition, the Greek booths were visited by the Greek Ambassador to the Netherlands, Ms. Katerina Gini, as well as the First General Counsel of the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs, Mr. Apostolos Michalopoulos, who, in collaboration with the representative of Enterprise Greece, held meetings with the Greek exhibitors.
Discussions with representatives of Greek companies confirmed the sector’s momentum and the sustained efforts of Greek businesses to strengthen their international presence, despite the challenges of the global economic environment. Through investments in innovation, technology, and the development of advanced solutions, Greek companies are striving to secure a stronger position in a highly competitive international market, with a focus on improving productivity and the sustainable management of agricultural resources.
Enterprise Greece continues to actively support the international expansion of Greek agritech companies, as the prospects for growth and international market penetration remain particularly significant. At a time when climate change and the need for more efficient food production make the adoption of new technologies essential, Greek agrotechnology has all the necessary resources to become a dynamic pillar of the country’s export-oriented productive economy.
