Antonis Samaras has weighed in on the issue of loans under the Katseli Law, following the legislative measure announced by the economic team.
As he states, “Today’s legislative initiative regarding borrowers vindicates my statement from a few days ago regarding the need for the immediate implementation of court decisions without delay or second thoughts.
However, I find it difficult to understand on what legal or moral basis borrowers who suffered exactly the same burden are being excluded, simply because their repayment plan was completed or lapsed in the meantime.
The restoration of legality cannot be selective. In politics, the self-evident should not be up for debate.”
