Piraeus Bank received the “Best in Business Transformation” award and three other major awards at the 2026 Project Management Awards, which recognize best practices and outstanding projects in the field of project management in Greece.
The awards received by the Bank reaffirm Piraeus Bank’s commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and the implementation of high-value-added projects, highlighting its strategic focus on business transformation, cybersecurity and risk management, the utilization of artificial intelligence, and the promotion of digital innovation.
At the 2026 Project Management Awards, organized by PMI Greece, Boussias Events, and the magazines NetFax and netweek, Piraeus Bank received the following awards:
• Gold - Best in Business Transformation for the Bank’s comprehensive transformation program, which combined rebranding, branch upgrades, and extensive digital modernization, substantially improving the customer experience and the organization’s operations.
• Silver - Best in Cyber Security & Risk Mitigation, for the implementation of a mature GRC model, integrating cybersecurity into strategic planning and linking it to business growth.
• Silver - Best in AI Infusion, for the project to integrate artificial intelligence into business processes, leveraging Generative AI, predictive analytics, and real-time data, as well as AI-driven tools.
• Bronze – Best in Digital Transformation, for the project that pioneered the introduction to the Greek market of the ability to convert debit card transactions into interest-free installments through a fully digital, mobile-first experience, enhancing security and transparency.
