On Friday, June 26, 2026, e-EFKA will issue refunds totaling 7,811,382 euros for contributions paid in error, as announced by the organization’s administration.
These contributions were identified as overpaid during the 2025 settlement of insurance contributions for non-salaried insured persons (freelancers, self-employed individuals, and farmers) who also held salaried employment or fell under the provisions of paragraph 9 of Article 39 of Law 4387/2016.
To receive a refund, insured persons must submit an application through the relevant online service, regardless of whether they have outstanding debts to e-EFKA or not.
Applications are processed automatically, in accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Decision No. Δ.15/Δ΄/90598/11-11-2021.
e-EFKA debtors will receive the amount remaining after their debt (whether subject to a payment plan or not) is offset against the initial refundable amount of the overpaid contributions.
The beneficiaries are 6,926 insured individuals who submitted an application by June 16, 2026, and the amounts will be automatically credited to the bank accounts they have designated on Friday, June 26, 2026.
