Dimitris Avramopoulos is asking the Supreme Court Prosecutor’s Office to annul the European arrest warrant issued against him by the Belgian judicial authorities.
More specifically, Mr. Avramopoulos filed an appeal with the Supreme Court Prosecutor’s Office, arguing that he has not committed any criminal offense, while also challenging the legality of the warrant.
Specifically, he states, among other things, that the document does not clearly specify the time, place, and circumstances of the acts attributed to him, despite the fact that these are elements which, according to Greek and European law, must be included.
At the same time, he argues that the national court decision or national warrant on which the issuance of the European arrest warrant was based is not sufficiently specified, as required by the applicable legal framework.
