“No matter how hard you try to sugarcoat the situation and cover up the arrogance of the New Democracy government, the truth is relentless:
Widening social inequalities, a lack of reform, corruption, waste of resources on direct contracts and cronies, a disproportionately small impact on growth relative to the European funds the country has received, record-breaking inflation compared to European standards, the lowest purchasing power in all of Europe, unaffordable housing, the dismantling of labor protections, the betrayal of retirees, the destruction of the primary sector, Greek summers without vacations for Greeks, and indifference toward the demographic crisis.
In short, a seven-year period that will go down in history as a great missed opportunity for the country. A seven-year “blessing” for vested interests and the oligarchy. Seven years were enough. They must not become eight. It is time for political change with PASOK.
