The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) is launching the issuance of digital payment receipts, implementing significant improvements and simplifications to the relevant procedures.
Decisions by the Administrator, George Pitsilis (A.1124/2026 and A.1125/2026), significantly streamline transactions for citizens, businesses, and accountants, saving time and improving service speed.
Effective July 1, 2026, the digital receipt for central payments, credits, refunds, and offsets is automatically generated and issued immediately through the myAADE digital portal, without the need for a request or a visit to an AADE office.
The digital receipt is issued through the myAADE digital portal (myAADE.gov.gr), under: My Account > Digital Receipt
It applies to the following cases:
- payments of debts through financial institutions (using TO/TRO, a card, or IRIS)
- amounts refunded from withholdings upon issuance of a certificate of good standing or a debt confirmation
- amounts refunded following the imposition of garnishments held by a third party
- central offsets
Access to the application is granted to the taxpayer themselves, their legal representative, or an accountant authorized for this specific action.
If access to the application is not possible, the digital receipt may be issued upon request to the competent authority. In 2025, 7,000 such transactions were submitted and processed through the “My Requests” feature of the application.
To ensure the security and authenticity of transactions, the digital receipt:
- includes a QR code for validity verification
- is verified through the “Digital Receipt Validity” app
Additionally, on the myAADE digital portal under the path: My Account > Payment Details, three new options will be added as of July 1, 2026:
- Centralized Offset of Certified Debts
- Centralized offsetting of settled debts
- Centralized crediting of offset notes
Each transaction displays the “Collection Update.”
With this new feature, taxpayers can view the debts to which a specific payment or refund was credited.
In addition, they can view payments or refunds that were not applied to any outstanding balance, resulting in an overpayment.
