The American College of Greece announces the launch of the new Professional Certificate in Translational Biomedicine & Entrepreneurship program, an intensive and applied professional education program that connects biomedical innovation with business exploitation in the field of health.
According to the relevant press release, the program, which begins in September 2026, is aimed at graduates and professionals from the fields of Biology, Medicine, and Health Sciences, as well as professionals active in the sectors of biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry, medical technology products, digital health, regulatory affairs, as well as research and development.
The duration of the program is set at 14 weeks, with classes every Tuesday and Thursday, from 18:30 to 20:30, from September 15 to December 17, 2026 at the campus of Deree -The American College of Greece in Agia Paraskevi. The language of instruction is English and participation is exclusively by registration, until September 14, 2026.
The aim of the Professional Certificate in Translational Biomedicine & Entrepreneurship is to respond to a critical and constantly growing need in the field of Life Sciences: the development of professionals who can understand not only scientific innovation, but also the processes required to transform it into new health solutions, products, services, and entrepreneurial initiatives.

The program combines fundamental principles of the development of drugs, biological products, vaccines, medical technology products, and diagnostic tools, with topics concerning regulatory science, clinical trial design, pharmacoeconomics, personalized medicine, and the creation of new business ventures in the health sector.
Through an applied educational approach, oriented toward market conditions, participants will gain a practical understanding of the stages required for the transition from the research idea for a discovery to clinical practice and ultimately to the market.

The program lasts 14 weeks and includes 56 hours of instruction. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Professional Certificate in Translational Biomedicine & Entrepreneurship from Deree – Center of Professional and Continuing Education, provided they meet the minimum required participation, namely at least 70% of classes and achieve satisfactory performance in the assessments of the individual modules.
The participation cost amounts to €2.200 for individual participants, while for members of the ACG community and the unemployed, the cost is set at €1.980.
