On June 29, 2026, at the Eurobank Campus Conference Center in Nea Ionia, Eurobank presented “Banking Forward,” a comprehensive analysis of the Bank’s digital banking ecosystem, with a focus on the new digital banking experience, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the evolution of mobile banking, and the redesign of customer journeys for individuals and businesses.
The event was attended by Eurobank’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. George P. Zanias, and the Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Messrs. Konstantinos Vassiliou, Iakovos Giannaklis, and Stavros Ioannou.
As noted in the relevant announcement, presentations by Eurobank executives and representatives of strategic partners highlighted how the Bank leverages technology, data, TN, and a modern digital architecture to create a more personalized, simple, and effective customer service experience.
In this context, Eurobank is implementing the largest technology investment program in its history, totaling approximately €1 billion for the period 2025–2028, investing in modern infrastructure, cloud technologies, data, AI, and new digital capabilities.
The event’s topics covered the entirety of Eurobank’s digital ecosystem, from the new digital banking experience, fintech applications, and the capabilities of the Eurobank Mobile App to the technological infrastructure that supports millions of transactions daily, business solutions, as well as accessibility and inclusion initiatives that ensure equal and seamless access for all customers.
In addition, the expansion of Eurobank’s strategic partnership with Mastercard was announced, broadening the range of services and experiences offered by providing Eurobank Mastercard cardholders with exclusive access to unique experiences in areas such as music, cinema, sports, and entertainment through Mastercard’s Priceless experiences platform.
Eurobank’s Group Chief Digital Officer, Mr. Konstantinos Paikos, served as the event’s main moderator, presenting the key directions of Banking Forward and the developments shaping the banking experience of the future.
Mr. Rodrigo Alvarez (pictured), Accenture’s Global Banking and Capital Markets Lead, in his presentation titled “Banking Forward: The Future is Here!”, focusing on customer expectations, the use of AI, and the redefinition of the banking experience in the new digital era.
At the same time, Mr. Nikos Gkatidis, Financial Services Managing Director – Innovation Lead at Accenture, contributed to the discussion on changing customer expectations and the characteristics that currently shape the modern digital banking experience.
Particular emphasis was also placed on strategic partnerships that expand Eurobank’s ecosystem of services and experiences, with a focus on further extending its long-standing partnership with Mastercard. Under the new agreement, Eurobank customers gain access to Mastercard’s global acceptance network, advanced security solutions, and modern payment technologies, while the ecosystem of experiences and benefits offered to Eurobank Mastercard cardholders is significantly expanded.
Eurobank’s Chief Retail Growth Officer, Mr. Yannis Serafimidis, and Mastercard’s Country Manager for Greece, Cyprus, and Malta, Mr. Panagiotis Polydoros, presented this new chapter in the collaboration between the two organizations, highlighting the shift from payments to a broader ecosystem of experiences.
Through the Eurobank Mobile App and Mastercard’s Priceless platform, cardholders gain exclusive access to highly sought-after music events, as well as to select experiences in the fields of music, film, sports, and entertainment.
Bank executives presented the various aspects of Eurobank’s digital ecosystem. The Group Chief Information Officer, Mr. Anestis Petridis, and the Group Corporate Security Officer & Chief Information Security Officer, Mr. Giannis Tzanos, highlighted the role of technology, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, while the Head of the GenAI Center of Excellence & Innovation, Ms. Maria Leontiou, presented Eurobank’s approach to leveraging TN and Generative AI.
The new digital customer experience and modern customer journeys were presented by the Head of v-Banking, Mr. Panos Theodorou, the Head of Individual Banking, Ms. Elena Pantazi, and the Head of Digital Solutions, Ms. Olga Charalambidi, while the Head of Transaction Banking, Mr. Lefteris Vlachogiannis, focused on how digital banking is integrated into the day-to-day operations of businesses.
