Following the signing of a relevant decision by Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis, a new call for proposals was published by the Special Program for a Just Transition under the National Development Program 2021–2025, entitled “Utilization of the Ptolemaida Industrial Area,” with a total budget of 25 million euros.
The purpose of this call for proposals is to fund the work necessary for the environmental remediation of the 506 stremmata site where the Ptolemaida industrial complex for nitrogen-based fertilizers (AEVAL).
This project will have a significant impact on the development of the Ptolemaida region, as once the planned work is completed, it will be possible to repurpose and utilize this area for the development of the Ptolemaida Industrial Park.
