The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces the Retail Trade Turnover and Volume Indices, with a base year of 2021=100.0 and a reference month of April 2026, whose trends, according to provisional data adjusted for the number of working days in a typical month of equal duration, are as follows:
• The General Turnover Index for April 2026, compared to the corresponding index for April 2025, increased by 4.0%, and compared to the corresponding index for March 2026, increased by 1.1%.
• The General Volume Index (turnover at constant prices) for April 2026, compared to the corresponding index for April 2025, decreased by 0.1%, and compared to the corresponding index for March 2026, increased by 0.3%.
• The seasonally adjusted General Turnover Index for April 2026, compared to the corresponding index for March 2026, showed a decrease of 1.1%.
• The seasonally adjusted General Volume Index for April 2026, compared with the corresponding index for March 2026, decreased by 1.4%.
