ELGA has disbursed compensation totaling 1,215,047.31 euros to 441 beneficiaries to compensate for damages suffered by affected farms due to the fires that broke out in 2022 in various regional units across the country.
The payment was made through the Bank of Greece, as part of the implementation of the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision to support affected farms, and is funded by appropriations from the Public Investment Program (PIP) of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
As stated in a related announcement, this payment continues to provide support to producers affected by natural disasters, with the aim of restoring their productive activity and strengthening the sustainability of agricultural holdings.
