“In response to a specific news report, the Arta Agricultural Poultry Cooperative states that it has not entered into any discussions with the Ioannina Agricultural Poultry Cooperative ‘PINDOS,’" the Arta-based cooperative clarifies in a statement, continuing:
“We state unequivocally, and to all concerned, that the Arta Agricultural Poultry Cooperative has no intention or need for, nor is it considering, any merger.
We do not know what purpose the interview given by the president of the Ioannina Agricultural Poultry Cooperative “PINDOS” to the media serves, but the timing and manner of it give us cause for concern.
Without any prior meeting, discussion, or consultation, the proposals for cooperation made by the president of the Ioannina “PINDOS,” were made without any prior meeting, discussion, or consultation, and clearly do not serve the needs of the Arta Agricultural Poultry Cooperative nor do they reflect our intentions.
The Arta Agricultural Poultry Cooperative is always considering the possibility of taking legal action against the dissemination of any false information.”
