Eurobank and Mastercard announce the expansion of their long-standing strategic partnership, ushering in a new chapter in their relationship that combines innovation in payments with a comprehensive ecosystem of services, experiences, and benefits for the Bank’s customers.
The new agreement represents the next step in a long-standing partnership, reaffirming the two organizations’ shared commitment to investing in innovation, security, and next-generation digital services, while contributing to the further development of the digital economy in Greece.
Under the agreement, Eurobank will issue payment cards for individuals and businesses under the Mastercard brand, offering its customers access to Mastercard’s global acceptance network, advanced security solutions, and modern payment technologies.
Eurobank and Mastercard are expanding their partnership beyond payments, further broadening the ecosystem of experiences and benefits they have been developing over time for consumers. Through the Priceless platform, cardholders gain access to a wide network of experiences tailored to their interests, in areas such as music, film, sports, and entertainment, across more than 35 destinations worldwide. This includes Mastercard presales for high-demand music events, as well as unique, priceless experiences linked to Mastercard’s international sponsorships, such as the Grammy Awards in the United States, the Venice International Film Festival, and the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team. In this way, payment cards cease to be merely a tool in our wallets and evolve into a means of accessing services and experiences that add real value to customers’ daily lives.
This partnership is part of Eurobank’s strategy to continuously enhance its customers’ experience and develop a comprehensive ecosystem of digital services, where payments are an integral part of daily life and serve as a gateway to new possibilities, services, and benefits.
Deputy CEO and Head of Retail & Digital Banking, Iakovos Giannaklis, stated: “The expansion of our partnership with Mastercard is a strategic development of particular importance to Eurobank and our customers. Through this partnership, we combine the technology, innovation, and global footprint of a world leader in payments with our own commitment to delivering ever-better experiences to our customers. Beyond transactions, we are creating a unified ecosystem of services, benefits, and experiences that delivers real value to their daily lives. “With Mastercard, we are investing in a banking model that goes beyond simply processing transactions to offer customers more possibilities, more experiences, and greater value every day.”
Panagiotis Polydoros, Country Manager for Greece, Cyprus, and Malta at Mastercard, stated: “Mastercard and Eurobank share a common ambition: to make payments simpler, safer, and more rewarding. This agreement marks a new and particularly important chapter in our long-standing partnership and reaffirms our commitment to supporting Greece’s transition to an even more digital economy. Together, we will continue to promote innovation and expand the possibilities of digital payments for consumers and businesses.”
