Vodafone Greece’s long-term investments in next-generation infrastructure development and its strategic commitment to providing a top-tier connectivity experience have established it as the network with the greatest improvement since 2023 in both overall experience and voice experience, crowdsourced data and metrics, according to umlaut’s measurements.[1]
In the 2026 measurements[2], Vodafone achieved the highest performance in 3 of the country’s 5 largest cities (Athens, Heraklion, Patras), which is linked to the best ratings for voice and data services, as well as the best reliability index, reflecting the ability to provide a seamless experience and high-quality communication for these specific services.
The results are based on field measurements conducted in more than 33 cities and the provincial highways connecting them, as well as on real-world user experience measurements (crowdsourcing) that cover 99.3% of the built-up area and 99.7% of the population-covered area throughout Greece. In total, 12,185 voice measurements and 125,659 data measurements were conducted on the most popular services to assess subscriber experience in terms of both quality and reliability.
Nikos Plevris, Network Director at Vodafone Greece, stated: “The results of the umlaut measurements confirm our strategic decision to systematically invest in our networks and continuously improve the experience our subscribers enjoy, wherever they are. The progress recorded across all key quality and reliability metrics is a strong validation of the work done in recent years and gives us the momentum to continue even more vigorously.”
During the 2025–2026 fiscal year, Vodafone continued to invest at an unabated pace in next-generation networks, with investments totaling €250 million, further enhancing the performance and coverage of its fixed and mobile networks. Population coverage of the 5G network reached 96%, up from 94% a year earlier, while the fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network exceeded 550,000 homes and businesses, paving the way for even better digital experiences throughout Greece.
