Vodafone Greece’s long-standing investments in the development of next-generation infrastructure and its strategic commitment to providing a top connectivity experience have highlighted it as the network with the highest improvement since 2023 in both overall experience and voice, data, and crowdsourcing experience, according to umlaut measurements.[1]
In the 2026 measurements[2], Vodafone recorded the highest performance in 3 out of the 5 largest cities in the country (Athens, Heraklion, Patras), which is associated with the best score in voice and data services, as well as the best reliability index, which reflects the ability to provide a seamless experience and high-quality communication in these specific services.
The results are based on field measurements carried out in more than 33 cities and the provincial highways connecting them, as well as real user experience measurements (crowdsourcing) equivalent to coverage of 99.3% of the inhabited area and 99.7% of the population area throughout Greece. In total, 12,185 voice measurements and 125,659 data measurements were carried out on the most popular services to record the subscriber experience in terms of both quality and reliability.
Nikos Plevris, network director of Vodafone Greece, stated: “The results of the measurements by umlaut confirm our strategic choice to invest systematically in our networks and to continuously improve the experience enjoyed by our subscribers, wherever they are. The progress recorded in all key quality and reliability indicators is strong confirmation of the work that has been done in recent years and gives us momentum to continue even more dynamically”.
Vodafone, during the financial year 2025-2026, continued its investments in next-generation networks, at an undiminished pace, which amounted to €250 million., further strengthening the performance and coverage of fixed and mobile networks. The population coverage of the 5G network reached 96%, up from 94% a year earlier, while the fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network exceeded 550,000 homes and businesses, creating the conditions for even better digital experiences throughout Greece.
