The Executive Committee of ADEDY decided at its meeting on June 30, 2026, to organize a nationwide mobilization of all public sector employees against the proposed constitutional amendment being promoted by the government.
In this context, as noted in a related announcement, ADEDY is calling for a work stoppage on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the end of the workday. It also calls for mass participation in the rally to be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Propylaea, together with student unions, and in the march to the Parliament.
“We are intensifying the struggle for permanent and stable employment, for real wage increases, and against the silencing of workers. We are fighting for public and free education and healthcare for all the people, putting our own needs first,” ADEDY states, among other things.
