Christina Michailidi will assume the position of Medical Director of Pfizer Hellas on July 3, 2026, succeeding Mr. Damianos Menegas. With more than 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Ms. Michailidi has a strong scientific and research background, which will ensure that Pfizer’s scientific strategy is aligned with the needs of healthcare professionals, the healthcare system, and patients in Greece, while simultaneously strengthening the company’s presence in the field of oncology.
Ms. Michailidi will be responsible for all of Pfizer Hellas’s innovative medicines and vaccines, as well as for providing scientific support for clinical trials conducted in Greece, both by Pfizer’s local and global organizations, in collaboration with public and private hospitals and university institutions for therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular diseases, oncology, rare diseases, and vaccines.
With many years of academic expertise in solid tumors and hematological malignancies, Ms. Michailidi joined Pfizer in 2017 as a Medical Advisor in the Oncology–Hematology department, and during her tenure at Pfizer, she also held roles within Pfizer’s global Oncology Medical and Research organization. From 2024 to the present, she has served as head of the Oncology Medical Department, overseeing Greece, Cyprus, and Malta, and was also a member of the broader leadership team of the Medical Department.
Ms. Michailidi holds a Ph.D. from the Medical School of the University of Athens and a postdoctoral degree in Molecular Oncology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the United States. She also holds a master’s degree (MSc) in Oncology from the Medical School of Athens and is a graduate of the School of Science (BSc) at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her research work includes a significant number of publications in international scientific journals and in fields such as biomarkers, cancer epigenetics, and translational research.
