Starting tomorrow, Friday, July 3, at 6:00 p.m., online applications will be accepted for enrollment and re-enrollment of infants and toddlers at the 28 daycare centers operated by the Public Employment Service (DYPA) for the 2026–2027 school year.
According to the relevant announcement, childcare is provided free of charge, and the deadline for submitting applications is Monday, July 13, at 11:59 p.m.
DYPA’s privately operated daycare centers operate from September 1 through July 31, daily from 6:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and care for children aged 6 months to 4 years. A daily program of creative activities is implemented to support the children’s harmonious educational and psychophysical development.
Daycare Centers in the Prefecture of Attica: Agia Varvara, Ano Liosia, Elefsina, Keratsini, Menidi, Moschato, Olympic Village, Peristeri, Ilion, and Haidari.
Regional Daycare Centers: Agrinio, Arta, Drama, Igoumenitsa, Ioannina, Kavala, Kalamata, Karditsa, Karpenisi, Komotini, Messolonghi, Naoussa, Xanthi, Patras, Pylaia, Thessaloniki, Serres, Trikala, and Larissa.

The path is: gov.gr → Education → Enrollment in a Daycare Center → Enrollment in a Daycare Center of the Public Employment Service (PES)
“Eligible Participants” in the Program are parents or caregivers (foster parents, guardians, etc.) of infants and toddlers:
- employees in a private-law employment relationship at the time the application deadline expires
- individuals insured under e-EFKA due to a dependent employment relationship, with contributions made to the unemployment branch of DYPA at any time during the 12 full months preceding the application deadline
- unemployed persons registered, in accordance with the applicable legal framework, in the DYPA Digital Registry of Job Seekers, with a continuous period of unemployment of at least three (3) months as of the application deadline
- are eligible for unemployment benefits as self-employed/independently employed insured persons (former OAEE, former ETAP–MME, former ETAA). –

In cases where data cannot be retrieved through an ex officio search by the DYPA, the verification will be conducted based on the supporting documents specified in Section C of the Call for Expressions of Interest. The selection criteria are economic and social. Once the application submission process is complete, provisional lists of selected, alternate, and excluded infants and toddlers will be posted, and beneficiaries will be able to file appeals.
DYPA is participating in the initiative “Promotion and Support of Children for Their Integration into Preschool Education, as well as Access for School-Age Children, Adolescents, and Individuals with Disabilities to Creative Activities” with EETAA S.A. as the beneficiary organization, co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) as well as national resources, within the framework of the Partnership Agreement for Regional Development (NSRF) for the 2021–2027 Programming Period.
Parents who meet the eligibility requirements for the above program are invited to submit the relevant application by the deadline, monitor the program’s progress on its website (www.eetaa.gr), and submit the corresponding voucher to the DYPA Daycare Center.
