Greece, with its rich cultural heritage, award-winning beaches, and modern accommodations, was showcased in five German cities as part of a roadshow organized by Expipoint from June 22 to 26, 2026, under the theme “Travel & Experts Summer Vibes.”
According to a related announcement, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) Office in Germany, accompanied by a strong delegation of Greek tourism professionals, successfully showcased the diversity of Greece’s tourism offerings at the informational events of “Travel & Experts Summer Vibes,” which took place in selected cities across Germany: Stuttgart, Koblenz, Düsseldorf, Münster, and Hamburg.
The events focused primarily on Mediterranean destinations, such as Malta and Tunisia. However, the Greek delegation—accompanied by representatives from the leading hotel chain Grecotel and the iconic Athenian Hotel Grande Bretagne, for a total of 12 participants, made a strong impression on the approximately 55 travel agencies from each city that attended the presentations.
Representatives of the German travel agencies confirmed that despite general caution regarding bookings due to recent geopolitical developments, travelers’ interest in Greece remains comparatively high.
The head of the Greek National Tourism Organization’s (EOT) Overseas Office in Germany, Nikoleta Lekkanidi, gave a PowerPoint presentation featuring a video showcasing Greece, with a particular focus on emerging destinations in the German market, such as: Thasos, Thrace, and Karpathos, which is now directly connected to Düsseldorf via the airline Eurowings. She also highlighted the opportunities Greece offers for organizing familiarization trips for tourism professionals.
Representatives of German travel agencies were briefed on the diversity of the Greek tourism product, which promises visitors safe vacations filled with unique experiences year-round, and received information on new flight connections as well as transportation and accommodation options at Greek destinations.
Special mention was made of Greece’s rich cultural heritage, which includes 20 sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as its second-place ranking worldwide in the International “Blue Flag” program, with 624 award-winning beaches.
Guests also had the opportunity to witness the high standard of our country’s hotel infrastructure through an inspiring presentation by the Grecotel hotel chain.
At specially designed info desks, participants were provided with further information regarding the Greek National Tourism Organization’s website and social media channels, as well as printed promotional materials.
