Actions with a total public expenditure of 140 million euros for the strengthening of investment plans of existing, new, and under-establishment small, medium, and large enterprises in the Mainland Just Development Transition Areas (JDTAs), are announced by decision of the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis.
Specifically, the initiative, aiming at the productive reconstruction of areas affected by the energy transition, is addressed to businesses operating in the Region of Western Macedonia, as well as in the Municipalities of Megalopolis, Oichalia, Gortynia, and Tripoli of the Region of Peloponnese, through the support of investments that contribute to technological modernization, upgrading of production capacity, and improvement of business competitiveness.
According to the relevant announcement, funding applications concern investment plans with a subsidized budget from 300,000 euros up to 12,000,000€ for SMEs and from 5,000,000€ up to 40,000,000 euros for large enterprises. The aid rate amounts to:
- 50% for large enterprises,
- 60% for medium enterprises,
- 70% for small and very small enterprises.
Eligible expenses are indicatively included in the following categories:
- Tangible and intangible assets (Article 14 GBER):
- Buildings, facilities, and surrounding area
- Purchase of building
- Equipment
- Software
- Environmentally friendly vehicles
- Product & process certifications
- Patents
- Energy production from renewable sources (Article 41 GBER):
- Investment expenses for energy production from RES, including heat pumps, as well as electricity storage systems to cover own needs (self-consumption)
- Employment of workers with disabilities (Article 33 GBER)
Applications are submitted exclusively online through the Integrated State Aid Information System, from July 15, 2026 at 13:00 until September 30, 2026 at 14:00.
