Alpha Bank announces the successful completion of syndicated financing amounting to €325 million for THEON International, a leading European group in the field of the development and production of night vision and thermal imaging systems for defense and security applications.
According to a relevant announcement, the financing will support THEON's further growth trajectory, the implementation of its strategic initiatives and the strengthening of its international presence, contributing to maintaining the leading position it holds in the dynamically growing defense technology sector.
Αlpha Bank, acting as Exclusive Coordinator of the transaction, successfully coordinated the participation of leading Greek and international banking organizations.
Αlpha Bank, CrediaBank, Eurobank, the National Bank of Greece and Piraeus Bank participated as Mandated Lead Arrangers and Lenders, while BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank participated as Lead Arrangers and Lenders.
The transaction attracted commitments exceeding the initial requested financing amount, demonstrating the strong interest of the banking market in companies of high credit quality in the defense sector.
The financing signing ceremony took place at Αlpha Bank's headquarters, where, on behalf of the bank, those present were Alpha Bank Group CEO Vassilis Psaltis, Chief Corporate and Institutional Banking Nikos Nezeritis, Syndications Director Eleonora Karamani and Athanasios Boukourakis, Deputy Head of Industrial and Resources.
