The procurement of 35 SUV vehicles, with a total value of 1,152,780 euros, including VAT, was completed by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to strengthen its operational capabilities.
The new vehicles are hybrid, four-wheel drive, and of new anti-pollution technology, combining low fuel consumption with off-road capability. Their selection was made with the specific operational requirements of Air Navigation in mind.
According to the CAA's planning, the vehicles will be placed at regional airports and at the Service's facilities throughout the country, while a significant number of them have already been put into use to cover existing operational needs.
The procurement is part of the effort to modernize and renew the CAA's fleet, with an emphasis on vehicles that combine operational flexibility, four-wheel drive, and a reduced environmental footprint, the relevant announcement notes.
